DAT Alierta is the new Aragonese Technology District, a strategic project designed to position Zaragoza and Aragon as a leading technology hub in Southern Europe. Promoted by the Government of Aragon with an initial investment of 100 million euros, this park is not only a space for companies, but a comprehensive ecosystem designed for the knowledge economy.
Strategically located in the northern area of Zaragoza, next to the Río Ebro Campus of the University of Zaragoza, DAT Alierta occupies 79 hectares dedicated to the creation of synergies between technological corporations, training areas, elite research centres, startups, and public administration. Its design merges state-of-the-art infrastructure with a natural, sustainable environment, creating a unique place where ideas are transformed into global solutions and talent finds the ideal environment to thrive. A tribute to César Alierta. Inspired by a pioneer, built for the future.
The park’s name pays tribute to César Alierta, the Zaragoza-born businessman who, as chairman of Telefónica, was one of the key figures in Spain’s economic and technological transformation at the turn of the century. His global vision, and his ability to anticipate the future, transformed a national company into a global telecommunications giant.
DAT Alierta was born with that same ambition: to be an innovative project, capable of technological understanding and transformation. Just as César Alierta built bridges to connect people, the technology park builds bridges between knowledge, business and society, with the aim of consolidating Aragon as a major player in global technology.
