The Government of Aragon is to finance a full renovation to integrate it into DAT ALIERTA.<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Great news for the new Aragonese technological ecosystem! The European Business and Innovation Centre (CEEI) in Zaragoza<\/strong> is about to undergo a complete transformation. With an investment of 3 million euros<\/strong>, the Government of Aragon has begun the renovation of its building, in order to fully integrate it into the promising new Aragonese Technology District (DAT Alierta)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vice President and Minister for the Presidency, Economy and Justice of the Government of Aragon, Mar Vaquero<\/strong>, announced this important initiative during her visit to the CEEI. The goal is clear: to adapt these installations – which date back to 1993 – to the current demands and needs of technology companies and turn them into a key space within DAT Alierta, the community\u2019s new technological hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modern spaces for the innovation of the future<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This financial injection will not only cover the development of the project, but also the execution of all the necessary building work, so that the CEEI will be able to offer a full range of spaces that any technology company may require. The idea is simple but ambitious: to ensure that no project is left without a suitable space at DAT Alierta due to lack of infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The renovation of the CEEI is part of a broader renewal process that seeks to adapt its operations to current and future demands. Mar Vaquero also pointed out that Aragon\u2019s technological future exceeds the most optimistic forecasts of three decades ago. The strategy involves maximising the potential of the space, allocating resources to the technology sector, and increasing its capacity to accommodate both large projects and smaller, developing initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAT Alierta: an ecosystem in full swing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This news adds to a number of factors that contribute to the rapid progress of DAT Alierta. Since the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azc\u00f3n, first mentioned it at \u201cThe Wave 2024\u201d in May 2024, the technology park has continued to grow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • In early 2025, the initial outline of the master plan was revealed, and the park\u2019s name was announced, in honour of C\u00e9sar Alierta.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The drafting of the expansion project of the Aragon Institute of Technology (ITA) has been put out to tender, with an approximate cost of 8 million euros<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A competition has been launched to seek ideas for the future Vocational Training building, which will involve an investment of 10 million euros<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • And CIRCE<\/strong> will join DAT Alierta with an investment of 20 million euros<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The CEEI renovation project includes several key actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • The remodelling of the central building<\/strong>: An investment of 2 million euros<\/strong>, which will completely transform the layout, electrical and air conditioning systems, false ceilings and flooring, and also refurbish the fa\u00e7ade. The tender for the drafting of the project (with a budget of 42,012.61 \u20ac + VAT) is expected to be published next week, with a 15-day deadline for submitting bids and an 8-week deadline for drafting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Construction of a new road.<\/strong> A new road will be laid, leading to the southern car park of the Lorenzo Normante building, to improve traffic flow between the campus and the CEEI\u2019s resident companies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Other building renovations<\/strong>:\n
        \n
      • Building number 1<\/strong> will be used for training activities and offices. The project is already ready, and the works will be put out to tender next week (285,408.02 euros + VAT), with 20 days for bids and a four-month execution period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Buildings 13 and 16<\/strong> will be used for offices and industrial purposes, respectively. Their renovation projects will be put out to tender individually next week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        With these ambitious plans, the Government of Aragon reaffirms its commitment to innovation and technological development, consolidating DAT Alierta as a national and international benchmark.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
