Competition for ideas for the new vocational training building at DAT Alierta<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Aragonese Technology District (DAT Alierta)<\/strong> continues its expansion with the announcement of an ideas competition<\/strong> to design a new, cutting-edge building to house a Vocational Training (VT)<\/strong> centre. This ambitious initiative represents an investment of 10 million euros<\/strong> and marks a crucial step towards consolidating Aragon as a talent hub within the technology sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project, presented by the Vice President and the Regional Minister for Education, Culture and Sports, follows recent investments such as the expansion of the Aragon Institute of Technology (ITA) and the integration of CIRCE, reinforcing the government\u2019s commitment to a solid training base within DAT Alierta. The main objective is to ensure that the Aragonese market has the highly qualified professional profiles that the technology sector requires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A state-of-the-art vocational training centre<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The new building will be a key extension of the Digital Campus<\/strong>, connecting ICT vocational training directly with high-level companies, universities, and centres for research and innovation. Its facilities will be designed for the future of technological education, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Equipped workshops<\/strong> with additive manufacturing and robotics laboratories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • An immersive room<\/strong>, and gaming, hardware and electronics workshops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Afully dedicated data centre.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 14 fully equipped classrooms <\/strong>and 12 individual videoconference rooms <\/strong>for virtual training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Entrepreneurship areas<\/strong>: 3 business incubators and a coworking space to facilitate projects for vocational training students and alumni.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Admin offices, meeting rooms (including a technology room), an auditorium, and common areas for students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    With a surface area of approximately 1,911 m\u00b2, this new space will not only consolidate the existing specialist courses and programmes on the Digital Campus, but will also host new short- and medium-term training programs, both in-person and online. The Department will continue to strengthen STEM education, which already has 14,000 places in vocational training, through new methodologies and programmes related to technology and digitalisation. The deadline for submitting proposals to enter this ideas competition is 30 calendar days<\/strong> from the publication of the tender. The winning project will have five months to complete all the necessary technical documentation. With this investment, DAT Alierta is firmly positioned as a leading technological and training hub in Aragon and throughout Spain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
